Oral Exercises for Bottle Refusal

Only do the exercises specifically for you and. your baby written out in your care plan!!

Try these when your baby is calm and alert. Ideally not “hangry” or hungry, but could eat. Always follow your baby’s cues, center/calm if they seem upset. If they cry we STOP!

Do these exercises, for 1 minute each, 5 x per day. 

* Remember- we are on the same team- learning new skills together!

  •   Jaw Massage

  •   Tongue Tickle

  •   Tongue Side-to-Side

  •   Tongue Sweep

  •   Palate Rainbows

  •   “Squishyface”

  •   Lip Taps

  •   Suck Training
